bdht has made further investments into the local community with two new defibrillators for Bromsgrove residents in an effort to help manage cardiac arrest and save lives.

One of the defibrillators will be available just outside bdht’s offices at Buntsford Court, while the other is a mobile unit that will be dispatched across Bromsgrove.

The two units will be accessible at any time, are easy to use and equipped with safety features that ensure the equipment is not only useful but also safe from accidental discharge by those who may not be familiar with them.

bdht employees have also undergone first aid and equipment management training in order to be able to provide this potentially life-saving service.

Mike Brown, Chief Executive at bdht, comments: “At bdht, we recognise the importance of offering this as a crucial first response that could increase a person’s chance of survival from cardiac arrest.

“The availability of public defibrillators has become increasingly important, given the rise in the number of people suffering from this life-threatening disease in Bromsgrove each year. Beyond providing affordable housing for all, I am pleased that we are able to expand our contributions to the community through this initiative.”
