Water Safety in your Home

Legionella bacteria can be found in most water systems so it’s important we keep your water safe.

We carry out regular checks at all our independent living schemes. These include:

• Monthly temperature monitoring.
• Quarterly shower head cleans.
• Biannual cold water storage tank inspections.
• Annual legionella risk assessments.
• Annual TMV (thermostatic mixer valves) inspection and servicing.

What you can do to help us keep your water safe:

• Flush out any infrequently used taps or water outlets for a couple of minutes at least once a week.
• If the property is empty for a couple of weeks during a holiday, flush all taps and outlets on return.
• Do not make any alterations to the water system in their property without ensuring it is done safely and properly.
