Getting involved
bdht’s Community Centre is based in the centre of Charford and provides a range of activities to support and assist people locally.
The Centre hosts a variety of employment-related training courses such as literacy, employability, eat well, spend less and mood masters – for a schedule of all our training contact the Community Centre on 01527 833886
We offer volunteer opportunities with a chance to learn new skills to enable you to find sustainable employment. Opportunities include, cleaning, cooking and customer service.
There are a range of social groups that meet at the Centre to increase social inclusion such as a social session, craft and youth groups.

Communities
Our homes, as well as our work with a range of partner groups, go towards improving the community experience and local facilities for all of our customers.
We encourage our residents to get involved in our community work too, and there are a number of ways you can do this, such as:
Estate walkabouts.
Completing surveys.
Becoming a cleaning inspector.
Becoming a grounds maintenance inspector.
Focus groups.
Becoming a mystery shopper.
Joining the tenants’ scrutiny panel.
Becoming a tenant board member.
Volunteering at the Starlight Café.
Getting involved is a great way to meet new people in the community and help improve bdht’s services at the same time.
